Dear seeker of wisdom;
What can the stories of your Orishá teach you about your life? How can you deepen your understanding of an Odù received at initiation or in divination?
Ask Ifá & Orishá is the AI-assisted companion of DAILY IFÁ ACADEMY, designed to support your study and personal reflection through conversation.
Drawing on the extensive knowledge databases I have assembled through my work with Orishá traditions and Ifá, it helps you explore teachings, ask follow-up questions and consider their meaning in the circumstances of your life.
You can ask in your preferred language and access the app directly in your browser. No ChatGPT, Gemini or other kind of account is required.
Explore your relationship with the Orishás
Knowing that an Orishá is associated with a particular force of nature is only a beginning. Their stories also explore love, ambition, loyalty, anger, loss, dignity, responsibility and transformation.
Ask Ifá & Orishá draws on a substantial database covering the principal myths, characteristics and cultural backgrounds of the better-known Orishás.
Explore the qualities associated with your personal Orishá, the tensions expressed in their myths and the lessons those stories may offer for your own conduct. You can also ask how understandings differ between Yorùbá traditions, Lucumí and Brazilian Candomblé.
Deepen your understanding of your Odù
An Odù contains many stories, teachings and possibilities. Understanding it takes more than reading a list of characteristics or predictions.
With a knowledge base encompassing all 256 Odù, Ask Ifá & Orishá helps you explore your initiation Odù, return to a teaching mentioned in a consultation or examine how a narrative relates to a question in your life.
Ask about character, relationships, work, responsibility or recurring difficulties. Request context, explore a proverb or consider which questions to bring back to your elder or diviner.
